Our Music Teacher

Ms Bashnee playing us sweet music. She is our music teacher and she teaches us different instruments every Monday. We are very lucky to also have her as our reliever when our teacher has her release.

Sharing Time in Room 5

If we had the ability to talk to animals, hmmm what would we say and do? This is Lynn Matakaiongo and he is sharing his story to the class. Lynn did a wonderful job standing in front of the class to share his wonderful imaginative story. In Room 5 we love sharing our stories to our class members and teachers because it makes us feel good and it makes us feel proud. 

Our Pepeha Presentations

Glenbrae School had our pepeha presentations yesterday. In Room 5 we had four speakers. A pepeha is  a form of introduction that establishes our identity and heritage. Our speakers introduced themselves and told us a little bit about  who they are, where they're from and where they belong. Here's a video of Room 5's presentation. Our Water Fun Day!!

Glenbrae School had our water fun day today and we had so much fun playing games and competing against other house teams within our school. The teams are Kowhai, Nikau, Kauri and Rata! We had different water activity stations all set up. The house with the most water filled in their buckets wins. The winner was KOWHAI !!!!!!

GO WARRIORS GO!!

How amazing is it to have the Vodafone Warriors come into our school?!! Glenbrae Primary School is fortunate to have 3 Warrior players come and talk to us about making healthy choices. We learnt a lot and had fun with the Warriors. See you next time WARRIORS!!!!

Cool in the pool during summer!

For the first 6 weeks of school, Room 5 students have been swimming nearly everyday! We have been learning how to swim and how to be safe in the water. It is our last day swimming for term 1 and Room 5 students are going to miss swimming!

Practice Makes Perfect!

We are learning to sit appropriately during assembly. This is an important skill for students to learn so that they can show respect to the speakers. We are working as a class to perfect our skill.
